Cold weather awaits those in Welkom

The weather in Welkom is very cold in July, and with temperatures between 4°C and 16°C, warm clothes are a must.

Days can vary between unbearably cold to refreshingly chilly.

Today’s cold temperature is expected to result from the passage of a cut-off low (COL) pressure system, which is currently situated along the west coast of the country. Very cold temperatures have already set in on the western regions of the Free State.
